Partnerships and Outreach
The Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA, or "seek-ah") actively partners with arts, service, and community organizations in the middle Tennessee region. The Center has formed ongoing partnerships with the following organizations:
- The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center
- The Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council and CECA co-sponsor the Student Art Gallery (showcasing the work of district high school students) at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center.
- The Clarksville-Montgomery County School District receives CECA funding for arts education initiatives such as Partners in Education, which provides professional development for K-12 teachers and teaching artist residencies in local schools, and the CECA Arts Experiences Grants. Learn more here.
- The Tennessee State Museum, which loaned the Center Roy Acuff artifacts toward the Roy Acuff Chair of Excellence exhibition (curated by Ned and Jacqueline Crouch) in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the of the Acuff Chair endowment.
If your arts or cultural organization might collaborate or partner with CECA, contact Dr. Andrea Spofford, Director of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, at (931) 221-7876 or by email at spofforda@airllevant.com.
The Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts reaches out to the community through sponsorships, arts education programming, and collaborations. Many CECA-sponsored events have an educational component where community members from throughout the region can receive free or affordable learning opportunities with CECA guest artists.
